Bima

Chartered and contracted by a Los Angeles based Russian Habbat Jewish Synagogue, Victor was assigned the task of carving a Bima, a prayer stand on a platform, the Centerpiece of a large Jewish Synagogue.

 

 

Victor began work on this project in Nov 1993.
He worked with a passion until March 1994.
The project was completed in March 1994, one week ahead of schedule.
The Charter provider, the Congregation and all of the Rabbis are extremely happy with the outcome.

The above seven panels were carved for an American Jewish Synagogue located in Los Angeles, California.  They were carved to customer specifications per preliminary sample drawings which Victor submitted.

These panels are carved out of Pine wood and stained with a Special Antique Stain.

Panel Size is 16" by 30" each panel.

Victor completed these panels in 1994.

Name Panel

Victor has been chartered on many occasions to carve Commemorative Name Panels, such as the one pictured at left, for Jewish Synagogues.

The typical size of these panels is approximately 60" across.
